There's no such thing as a nap-ologist

or a la-la-land Dr. No, unfortunately as a result of Buddy's Dr's apt today we're going to see a neurologist. He's not sleeping well. He jolts CONSTANTLY when he's trying to fall asleep, and when he's asleep. :( It is resulting in many sleepless nights. Add in his extreme language delay, and his meningitis from when he was 11 weeks old and we've just won ourselves a trip to the neurologist. Our ped doesn't *think* that there is anything neurologically wrong, but he wants to make sure and rule it all out. However, seeing we live in MAINE we have only one pediatric neurologist. ONE. Needless to say the wait to get in to see him unless it is an emergency is generally lengthy. So we wait. Pray that we get some answers.
We did the go ahead to start some melatonin with him. I'm searching for some chewables (as I don't see him at 2 years old swallowing a pill!). I'm hoping that this will at least get him some restful nights sleep.

In addition he starts his therapy tomorrow for his language development. His teacher called and she is super excited about working with him. I just hope for Buddy the feeling is mutual. So far he's been VERY shy when people come over.
