Crispy Orange Chicken

A few weeks ago Lovergirl was helping me write out a menu and requested Crispy Orange Chicken. Ummmm. OK. Never made crispy orange chicken before but I'll give it a whirl. I couldn't imagine where she had tried it and she kept saying "But you've made it before" So I set to work researching recipes, gathering ingredients. I spent part of an afternoon making for my lovely daughter crispy orange chicken.

I was SO proud of trying this new recipe and served it with a smile. She quickly looked at it and said "This is NOT crispy orange chicken." Oh I was heartbroken! The title of the recipe was "Crispy Orange Chicken" It even said so.

Tonight I was fixing a quick dinner for our family. Peas & chicken. I cut the chicken up and grabbed my favorite box of seasoning and dipped and seasoned and cooked. I tossed the meal on plates and served. My beautiful daughter proudly looked at me and said "YES! Crispy Orange Chicken"
